Jay Peak

Jay Peak is a mountain that visitors flock to year after year because of its reliable snowfall, challenging runs, and friendly atmosphere. The resort is also fairly close to Montreal, which boasts active nightlife and European flare.

Vermont’s Best

Jay Peak is one of the most exciting and breathtaking resorts in all of Vermont. The area proudly boasts an average of 350 inches of snow yearly, one of the highest numbers on the East Coast. There are eight lifts that cover over 385 acres of skiable land. The land is carved into 75 beautiful trails, featuring a fairly incredible spread: 40 percent of the different slopes are for advanced skiers, while 40 percent are for intermediate skiers. With the remaining left over for beginners, Jay Peak is a perfect location for veterans and novices alike. Jay Peak is truly one of the more beautiful and one of the more challenging mountains in the entire region. If you are looking for an exhilarating ski area, but want to find an affordable and enjoyable resort in northern Vermont and is your perfect destination.

Off the Slopes

Some of the best lodging for this area is at Hotel Jay, a slope-side resort hotel that features a wide range of prices and amenities, including a sauna and a game room. The Alpine Room Restaurant in Hotel Jay is known for being one of the best places for food in the area, while the Sport Lounge is known for being one of the best après-ski locations near the mountain.

Getting Here

Those coming to the mountain should consider flying into Burlington International Airport, approximately an hour and a half drive from Jay Peak. Those who are driving will find that they can get to the area via Route 242. This is a resort that our friends to the north frequent as it is close to the border, so flying into Montreal International Airport is also a viable option.
